What Does the following MRI Scan Test Result Mean?

I just had an MRI of my right knee. The MRI stated there were "numerous surgical artifacts? I had surgery 16 months ago and my knee has been bent at a 32 degree angel since and I cannot walk w/o crutches. Could these 'artifacts" have something to do with me not being able to walk?

Welcome to health care magic.

1.Artifacts can be due to the metallic material used during the surgery or any movement at the time of scan or unable to keep leg well in the coil.
2.There is nothing to do with - unable to walk and artefacts.
3.MRI is modality if choice in knee problems - but unfortunately due to the above cause unable to get proper visualisation of the joint.
4.You can try for a arthrogram for better evaluation which is done with injection of fluid with in the joint space under fluoroscopy and MRI done after that.
5.So try not to move while scanning, things will be better. Good luck.

Hope i have answered your query.
